July 19, 200025 yr I would like to know about a layout I saw on FileMakerPro database. This person has the multiples databases. There is not a switchboard to connect them. Instead there is tabs at the bottom of the screen like tab manila folders. If I press on the tab it takes me to the different database. Is this difficult to do? I have not seen ways to do this in my database. Perhaps my version is too old? (I have the 4,1). Thank you for anyone who can respond. ------------------ Mikhail Petrovich Vimov
July 19, 200025 yr Mikhail, What you are referring to is not very difficult and is not specific to version 5. It is done through a combination of standard layouts, buttons and scripts. As you described it, each file must have the same layout/look. Under each tab is a button that triggers a script which, among other things, takes you to the new file. There are examples of this technique available on the Internet, check out http://www.databasepros.com and the resources offered there. Cheers.
