Can't serve from a Mac with 5.5???

Featured Replies

welp....I'm at wits end...I have installed FM Pro on my mac...set up the web companion, setup sharing, etc etc.....but it just returns a "server error" when I try to load the webpage from a PC. I have a windows version of FM Pro 5.0 here at work and set it up, and it worked fine viewing the web page from my Mac. I did everything exactly the same. I am behind a firewall at both places, but I put the Mac on DMZ to allow all ports through and that still didn't work.

It's not returning a page like it can't FIND something....just a "Server Error".....actually....if I go to www.filemaker.com and click "FileMaker Collections" it gives me the same error. Is there some setting on this W2K box running IE 6.0 that I need to know about???

Well....I got it to load the companion page, but it doesn't have my database listed to view....and I know it's set to "multi-user" and not hidden. GGrrr...

Does *each database* you want to web-share have the Web Companion plugin activated? From the File menu, choose Sharing and make sure the Web Companion box is checked. Perform for each database.

yeah...I just got it working on my 9.2.1 machine, but it doesn't load the database on the 8.6 machine......VERY odd. It shows the Web Publisher page, but doesn't have a database available to view.
