Hi, 

 

I am totally new to FileMaker and am trying to set the preference for FM Starting Point. However, I keep getting an error message as shown in the image and there is no "Add New Record" toolbar for me to add a new record. I am not sure if I deleted anything accidentally. Anyone can advise? Thanks!

Hi Sotsh,

 

Yep, so you either deleted the one Preference record... or your did a find... and your found set is zero.   I would recommend getting a fresh copy of FMSP... you can optionally import the preferences record back in.

 

Or you can just create a new record and re-input everything. 

 

I try to hide the status area when in this area so this doesn't happen.   Getting 2 records into preferences can be a problem too... so don't hav e more than one.
