Hi, could someone please tell me if it is possible to set up a value list of colours.

Red

Blue

Green

Orange

But have each colour in the menu that block of colour?

Hi,

you cant do this with a value list in filemaker, but you could create a portal to a small database that has x amount of records.

Each record has aconstant calc field of 1, a text field and a container. Fill the container with a colour and display in your portal. Then you can script the portal layout to pick that value and set a field in your main database.

you will need a constant field calc of 1 in your main database to show the portal (or a global that you set to 1 to make the portal appear as a value list type pop up).
