Cannot see my DSN source in Filemaker 13 pro Advance

Hi All,

I am new to the filemaker and this is very first time I am trying to link my application with the external SQL server.

As advised in the "ODBC and JDBC Guide" I have created a new Data source for Filemaker in ODBC data source manager in control Panel.

When I try to add this as an external data source in filemaker I am not able to see this newly created DSN when I click to specify (While selecting DSN in filemaker).

Please suggest why I am not able to view these DSN in filemaker where as in reality my Data Source manager has it?

regards

JK

Filemaker is a 32bit Application and thus needs a 32 bit ODBC connector. You are probably using Windows 7 64 bit. Windows 7 by default only shows the 64bit ODBC connector. In order to create a 32 Bit connector you will need to run c:WindowsSysWOW64Odbcad32.exe - Create your connector in this window and you should see the connector.
