I'm using FMP ver 5.5 for Windows and I need to be able to have a report emailed on a reagular basis to someone. I thought it would be possible if I could print my report as a text file and then attach it to an email. Is this possilbe? or is there a way to have a report sent via email as an attachment.

The best way would be to print to an Adobe (pdf) file and attach. You will need the full version of Adobe or at least the print driver which I think you can get on the adobe web site, if not it is available at other locations just search for adobe.

That's a good idea, but I wanted to tell you what I've worked out. As I could not count on the person having adobe I set up a generic printer-text in windows and then print to a file using the generic-text printer "this allows it to save as ASCII. Then it defaults to a file name "file.txt" which can be attached to an email and printed out at the customer site.
