I am accessing a SQL server via ODBC and want to store my queries. They need to be text(query info) and a field value which is the search criteria for the sql. I am trying to use a calculation field with a text result but it errors telling me that there is more than 253 characters. This is a shared file running on a server so I cannot use a global field. Is there a limit to the length of text string that can be in a calculation field and if there is where do you store large queries?
