Troi Automatisering releases Troi Text Plug-in 4.0 for FileMaker Pro 14

May 4th, 2016, Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands--Troi Automatisering today announced the availability of Troi Text Plug-in 4.0 for FileMaker Pro 14.

What is Troi Text Plug-in?

Troi Text Plug-in is a powerful tool for for dealing efficiently with text in your FileMaker Pro database. It adds the following functions to FileMaker Pro:
- Customize spell checking
- Parse XML text into fields
- Combine sets from 2 text fields:
  - get all lines that are the same
  - get all lines that differ
  - and other combinations
- Get (unique) lines and sort words and lines
- Make a text sum from a related file that updates without a script

What is new in version 4.0?

In this version we added 5 new functions for powerful spell checking. Together these functions allow you to perform a completely customizable spelling check: you can specify a custom spelling (language) per database or even per text field. You can also specify to ignore or learn words you or your company might use. And everything can be configured completely from the database with calculations or scripts. These spelling functions are available on Windows 8 and later and on all OS X versions.

Furthermore Troi Text Plug-in 4.0 was tested and made compatible with Windows 10 and OS X 10.11 (El Capitan). We improved the log text when running the plug-in on FileMaker Server, to give more information in error situations and we improved the example file EasyInstallTroiPlugins.fmp12, to provide more help when an installation error occurs.

More detailed information on all changes and improvements implemented in Troi Text Plug-in 4.0 and earlier can be found at: http://www.troi.com/software/texthistory.html
