Video: EngageU Conference – Session about FileMaker Hosting

(0 reviews)

The first EngageU FileMaker Conference took place in 2002 in Malmö, Sweden, organized by SquareMoon and ClickWorks.
fmcloud.fm was of course sponsor of the event, which happened to be the first major event since Covid that Claris staff, including Brad Freitag, CEO, attended.

Fabrice Nordmann and Romain Dunand (1-more-thing/fmcloud.fm) presented a session about the various ways of hosting FileMaker/Claris files.

What are the pros and cons of a local server, a dedicated host (physical), a Virtual Machine (VM) or Docker?

We already mentioned that subject here, but the video of this session is now public:

We’re taking this opportunity to announce that a second edition of EngageU will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, 12-14 November 2023.
In the mean time, we’ll be at the dotFmp event in Berlin (1-3 June 2023), and in Basel FileMaker Konferenz (21-23 June 2023).

Also, Claris announced this week the first Claris Engage conference in Austin, Texas, Feb 6-8 2024. Our Texas data center is warming up 🙂
