  1. Thank you so much- I'm learning relationships between tables so I'll follow this with the manual close by. I'll report back. Thanks again!
  2. Hi I am new to filemaker- I've dabbled with it a few times but now want to build a database for orders, customers and inventory. I am importing a csv file from my ecommerce platform and one of the fields has the 'product details' in it which include: "Product ID: 44, Product Qty: 1, Product SKU: xxx-, Product Name: xxx xxx, Product Weight: 0.5, Product Variation Details: Size: Large, Product Unit Price: 39.99, Product Total Price: 39.99 | Product ID: 55, Product Qty: 1, Product SKU: xxx_xx, Product Name: xxx: xxx, Product Weight: 0.5, Product Variation Details: Size: Large, Product Unit Price: 24.99, Product Total Price: 24.99" Each product is seperated with "|". One order can have multiple products or just one. I would like each detail seperated by a comma to be it's own field- just the value not the name. I have no idea of how to start- any help/ direction would be appreciated.
  3. Hi I'm new to filemaker and I don't know if this topic has been addressed here or not. If so could you just link me to the thread, thanks. My issue is as follows, I have Multiple rows of one order in Excel, each with repeating and or different info in each cell. I want to combine all order rows with the same order# into one record in filemaker. I figured out how to combine the data into one order, but because the product info is repeated everytime info changes I just want to show all unique info once. I have an excel formula =IF(AA2=AA1,"",AA2) AA1= PROD_CODE AA2= PROD_CODE How do I make that into a calculation in Filemaker? Thanks for any help.
  4. Thank you, I will try it that way.
  5. Hi comment, You can view the file here
  6. Thank you for your response. That's exactly what the fields are (size and color) but the source file list the product twice one with the color the other with the size. I want to combine that info into one order in the target file instead of having the order listed twice or more depending on how many products and attributes are in each order... any ideas?
  7. Hello, I am new to FM and having some difficulty with combining data. This is my issue... I am importing my orders from a csv file into my FM database. The CSV file has 3 to 4 rows of information (attribute options) for the same product. How do I make one record of the product with all the attribute options? Would it be a calculation and if so, what would it be? Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
