  1. No luck...i've done as you have explained but now i'm getting just 1 option for each of the fields that are now referencing the new TO I believe they are picking up just the 1st occurrence and not all the available based on the selections first chosen Any ideas?
  2. I think this is an easy one but i'm coming up short. I attached a copy of my relationship chart I have created a relationship for field "Lamp Type" between the "Audit" and "Lamps" table. I have a value list that to include all values from the "Lamp Type" I've created value lists for fields "Number of Lamps", "Lamp Wattage" and "Ballast factor (lamp table)". I've pulling those values from the "Lamps" table and have selected "related values only". What i'm looking to do is reduce the amount of values that are returned in those three fields to just what is selected from the previous. So for example - currently this works - First I would select my "Lamp Type" from all values on the "Lamps" table Then I would select my "Number of Lamps" value which shows only the related info based on my selection of "Lamp Type" Next however I want to select "Lamp Wattage" from a value list showing only the related items from records with the "Lamp Type" and "Number of Lamps" both matching. and so on with "Ballast Factor" after that How do I do this? Thanks, Vince Audit Relationship.pdf
  3. thank you....here is what i'm trying to do First - I'm new to FM and have been working on and off few a couple months to get this far. I created the database to be used to perform audits for lighting and controls of commercial buildings. What you see in "Layout #3" is what i'm using on the Ipad for the data entry. The next step is after the data is collected then working with that data to calculate energy usage / pricing / utility rebate information etc. What I need to figure out next is how to take the data collected and find the corresponding wattage for each record on the "Wattage Table" The "Wattage Table" was imported from an existing Excel file from one of the utility companies. The three pieces of information that I need from my data to find the proper wattage are the fields I have listed in the "Post Audit" table. "Qty of lamps", "Lamp Wattage" and "Lamp Type". Right now my "Lamp Wattage" and "Qty of Lamps" fields are numeric and any number can be entered. I'm thinking what I need to do is first change those to value lists with only the possible options that are available for each "Lamp Type" and enter them in my "Lamps" table. Then what I need to do is figure out a way to list all of the possible combinations that would be available from those three fields. After doing that I would then need to list next to each combination the "device code" from the "Wattage Table" to build a relationship. Am I on the right track? Any easier way to accomplish this? Also if this is the way to do is there an easier way to figure out the combinations that exist? Thanks for the help

  5. I found this post http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/86818-unable-to-attach/ possibly this problem is back?
  6. yes 11 mb after zipping no luck using your steps. I can choose the file and then when I hit "attached this file" it gives me the error "Error No file was selected for upload" I'll try another zip program
  7. yeah...weird huh....not a good start for help when I can't even attach a file! I'll try to delete some of my layouts and possibly if the file is smaller it will work. I've tested other files that I have and they work so it might be a problem with this particular file.
  8. This is my first post. I tried to attach my file but for some reason I keep getting an error saying "No file was selected for upload" I made sure to ZIP the file and it's just over 11MB's....any ideas?
