  1. Doh! That was my mistake, had it set to "multiple". Works like a charm now - thanks again!
  2. Thanks! This seems to do what I need, but with some quirks. For some reason, if I'm using the "email client" option (which, of course is slow), it creates two emails for record. If I use SMTP, it creates 75 (!) emails for each record (75 is the number of records in the table). Any insight on how to get this down to one email per record using SMTP? Thanks again for the loop tip.
  3. Hello all, I'm using the script below to send emails with a PDF attachment contained in the record. However, I'd like the script to do this for each record in the table as currently it will only create one email for the record that is being viewed (I tried selecting the "multiple emails" field in the Send Mail setup but it didn't work). I figure this is probably an easy one, but I don't much about scripting yet. Anyone know how I can add a loop to do this for all records? Thanks!
  4. Thank you! I will look into calculation fields as that sounds exactly what I'm looking for. Still spending most of my time learning what is actually possible with this program!
  5. Hello all, New FM 17 user here and trying to figure out how to print PDFs. I have a database with information about advertisers in a publication that I produce. Each record has a field where I have input their current advertisement (a PDF or JPG) and optimized for Interactive Content. I'd like to be able to print a standard letter to each advertiser on one page and their current ad on the next, but when I preview the printout it only shows the standard AdobePDF thumbnail with the filename instead of the actual ad. Is there any way to do this effectively? Thanks!
  6. Hello all, New to FM but have been going through the LinkedIn Learning modules and have a project in the works. I have a database of "listees" whose information I publish in a yearly directory (name, address, phone number, associations, etc.). I need to have this output to a .txt file (tab) so I can copy/paste into QuarkXpress, but am struggling to find an efficient way to do this. Using merge fields is ideal because I can add punctuation between the fields as opposed to exporting records, but I can't seem to find a way to export these fields to .txt in all my searches. Am I missing something or is this not possible? Thanks!
