  1. zumajohn, Best of luck as you work to convince your boss to go FileMaker instead of the archaic calendar system you mentioned. The great thing about working with FMP on a Mac is that you can do all kinds of data integration using AppleScript. Depending on Now Up-to-Date's AppleScript awareness/capabilities, it's highly likely that you can use it to push and pull data between Dave's Calendar Solution and Now UTD. You may even find that you can replace Now altogether with a FMP system, with the Calendar Solution at its core. No, I've never heard of Attain software or InControl, but that brings me to another great feature of Dave's Calendar Solution. With a Level 4 Developer license, you get unlimited access to the code, which means you can update it any time you like. This means that, as long as you have access to FileMaker Pro software, you don't have to worry about the Calendar Solution not being available in the future, since you'll be able to make modifications to the programming, and build on the solution over time. Thanks for your post. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about the Calendar Solution.
  2. Dowling Data Consulting ( http://www.davedowling.com ) announces the release of version 1.3 of Dave's Calendar Solution. Keep track of your important dates. Filter your tasks in multiple categories, by employee in your organization. Color code your appointments by category. Create multi-date appointments. View by month, week, day. Easy to use and navigate. 100% FileMaker Pro, no plug-ins needed. Dave's Calendar Solution is the result of hundreds of hours of development time. We've attempted to create a calendar that is well-organized, easy to use, and adaptable to existing database solutions, so that others may integrate the calendar into their solutions with relative ease. Whether you're an experienced developer or a part-time FileMaker user, we believe you'll be able to use our calendar, with a refreshingly short learning curve. Download the demo at http://www.davedowling.com/download.htm View the online documentation at http://www.davedowling.com/calendarDocs/0_index.htm Developer licensing available; see details at http://www.davedowling.com/pmt_calendar.htm
  3. anyone here have any info on how the Cocoa version (OSX) of FMP handles plug-ins?
  4. why not just use the HTML refresh command to achieve this goal? create a page with a zero second refresh that submits your form. JavaScript shouldn't be necessary. dave mywebbrain.com
