  1. I want to print my records; I want to print out as a Table; I don't need to print out all the fields though, how can I do it so that only certain specific fields print out?
  2. I am designing our company's database for work being understaken. I have a section for product/brand category, problem is the client's we do work for have (literally) hundreds of different brands etc. Is it possible under DEFINE VALUE LIST for to have more than category, for instance so we could choose brands A-C, D-F and so on?
  3. Thanks, but I've sorted it!
  4. I'm designing a booking-in system at Work. Obvious at the cornerstone of this system will be the unique order number that will be assigned to each job. Orders will be booked in by a number of different people over the course of a working day. Is there a way that I can format this so that the next number appears automatically, thereby minimising the likelihood of the operator assigning the wrong number?
  5. This is pretty basic, but I am designing a system for booking in our company's work. I have a DATE IN category (type = "date" in Define Field), obviously when the work is booked in by the rep. BUT how do I FIND from a specific date onwards? (I presume that I use the appropriate symbol, but which one is it?)
  6. It's OK, I've sorted it now
  7. Many thanks, worked a treat and I've made real progress. Now . . . I have done my layout and it's looking good. However, in Preview mode only a second page is being created automatically with three entries at the top which are the same as the first three entries at the beginning of the record I am creating. In Preview Mode the total number of pages indicates ? I can't see this extra page in Browse or Layout mode, so can't delete it
  8. OK, I admit it, I am a complete Filemaker Pro novice (working on version 5); I am setting up a job bag system at work and I want to be able to print out my Filemaker records onto A4. However, just under half the page gets cut off when printing (and it's the same in preview mode); the area where this cuts off corresponds with a sort of dotted rule running across the page, when in Layout mode I'm sure it's staring me in the face, but blowed if I can work it out.
