How does one enable the Excel plug in for exporting straight to a spreadsheet without having to deal with the .tab problems in Excel?

I've set up a real simple report that contains a sizeable notes type field that needs to slide up when it's empty. I've done this before, and it has always worked. For this layout though, when previewed or printed, not only does it slide up, but slides up over previous records if the contained text is particularly long. I've tried both sliding to only and sliding to all above, and the slide enclosing part needs to be selected to reduce the space. Has anyone else encountered this?

Is it possible to have a script open and display the contents of a windows folder, perhaps through the send message command?

It also turns out that you can use the 'send message' script to send an open file message to the cpu. If the database and file are both on a shared space, anyone can open the file. thanks all

How would one script to open an exterior msword file with a button within a database. Unfortunately, scipting to a url is not an option, as the msword file has to be located in a specific area.

Another probably simple question, but I'm in a bit of a hurry. How does one modify the text so that it automatically links web addresses and email addresses?

Simple, probably stupid question- I need to match text from previous records in certain fields. I'd like to start typing the text and have Filemaker match and fill in the rest of the text like Excel does. example - Vendor names. I'd like to type 'To' and have filemaker fill 'Tornado Films Inc' into the field. How is this done?
