Well, I want to use as little as files possible (because theyre going to run on a server), so if there are alternatives, ... that would be great. The problem is that FM does have the functionality, but only when the file is opened. If there is no other way, then I guess that your way is the only way

Hi, small Q. Is it possible to re-login a FMfile protected with a password, without re-opening it? I want a file to have limited access for users without the program promping for a password (I read that I can do this in preferences, program), but I also need to get in for full access as the sysop. I first thought that "change password"-script could do it, but that's not the case. I'm working with 4.x by the way, thanks for any help AJ

Hi, I'm making a small database with different files where more than one people are working with. I'm using global fields to transport certain data to other files, or for my scripts. My question (and I hope it's not an old one) is this: Are global fields the same for all users currently using the database, or is this user specific? If the first is the case, I must be more carefull in programming my database thanks, AJ
