Our IT department wants to upgrade our server hardware and OS. The current supported server OS at the Smithsonian is Windows Server 2008 (32-bit is okay, though not preferred.) Unfortunately, we are stuck on FileMaker Server 5.5 for at least another year. Has anyone had experience with FMS 5.5 on Windows Server versions above 2000? Thanks, bew

extramsg, how did this turn out? We have the same issue -- our IT department wants to upgrade the server OS to Windows 2008, but we are stuck on FMS 5.5 for at least another year. Did you ever make this work, or discover definitively that it doesn't?
