  1. That makes sense, and I'll try it, but it is for a fairly large dataset. Mind sharing that "more efficient" way? Thanks! P.S., No, a sub-summary report won't work for it.
  2. I'm a scripting newbie, so please bear with me. I've done a couple of looping scripts with numerical loop invariants, but don't know how to traverse the DB based on contents of a particular field. Ex. Given database with two fields MANUFACTURER and COMPUTERTYPE, I want to loop through the DB once for each unique value of MANUFACTURER. How do I structure a Loop to do something like the following pseudocode: for each MANUFACTURER select (MANUFACTURER, COMPUTERTYPE); <do other stuff I'll fill in here> done I'm a scripting newbie, other than really minor stuff...
  3. I _FINALLY_ figured that rotation trick out, courtesy of one of the sample scripts on your website. I want to take someone at FileMaker.com out back and beat him for such weird behavioral inconsistencies, but hey, this works for now. Thanks!
  4. I'll give PNGs a try. But do they work for FM 6?
  5. I've been down that path, and the GIF looks transparent to everything but FileMaker. (i.e., web browsers, Photoshop, MS Photo Editor, etc.) I'm obviously missing something basic here.
  6. I have a need to have transparent graphics within my content, not just on the background, which this sounds like. Is there any way of doing that? My specific problem: I want to create a small image library (all imported GIFs) in one FM file, and use the images in that library in another FM file, via calculation with a container result. I need the actual GIF image backgrounds to be transparent because they are to be displayed in conjunction with another image which will change color and content depending on another calculation. But all the images I import have white instead of transparent backgrounds inside FM, despite showing correct transparency in Adobe Photoshop, MS Photo Editor, and even when referenced with HTML via a browser! Am I stuck? Can this work?
