My colleagues and I are members of an academic lab that is working on establishing a new database for our research using FileMaker 7 (doing setup with Mac OSX, but accessible across platforms). As relative novices to FM, we have encountered a problem that has us stumped; any input, advice, or direction would be most appreciated.
The problem as it stands is that, while the database seems to be functional offline, with full search capabilities, when using the online access, we are unable to perform a find/search based on parameters and values obtained from radio buttons and/or checkboxes. Although the selections for radio buttons and checkboxes are valid, saved, and updated, any attempts to perform a find fail, with an error message appearing that reads:
"Javascript: There are no valid criteria in this request. Type a valid request before clicking Perform Find."
This error is present from both Mac and Windows systems when using web access... as I said, we're stumped, and aren't sure (a) the exact nature of the error, and (: how to resolve it.
