  1. Tanya and/or 360Works, I am now getting the exact same error after installing SC on my SL server, using a GoDaddy (Starfield Secure Cert. Auth) Certificate for my SSL. Our CA is not self-assigned, but has been replaced with a signed cert from GoDaddy. The link you provided above for how Java is unable to trust this CA, is far beyond my skill set in understanding how to actually remedy this problem. Do either of you have any recommendations for fixing this? Thanks, Mike
  2. hi David, thanks so much for your replies and support... I've manually installed SC following the directions from your Product Support Wiki, and have successfully registered it. However, upon trying to connect to test it, I get the following error: Could not connect to SuperContainer server: java.io.IOException: Unable to connect to https:///SuperContainer/Files. The SSL certificate on this server could not be verified. How does one get SC to work using a Certificate Auth. (CA)? We have our CA issued by Starfield Secure Certificate Authority through GoDaddy. Are there only certain CAs that are recognized by SC (ie: Verisign)..., or do we have to edit another config file...? Thanks, Mike
  3. but on which server, the "worker" with web engine, or the "master"? And... I'm assuming do a manual install since it's SL...
  4. I have a 2 machine config: FMSA11 on one SL server & web publishing on another SL Web/domain server. Can you tell me which type of SuperContainer (SC) installation I should perform and on which server? Goal: to best enable IWP for SC, allowing preview of pdfs in IWP, over an SSL connection. Install Option 2: Installing SC with FileMaker Server Advanced (but on which server, the "worker" with web engine, or the "master"?) Install Option 3: Installing SC with Tomcat (which is a manual installation for Snow Leopard Server). Will I lose webviewer interactivity by using this method? If I have a CA installed on the web server, and SC is also installed there, are there other installation procedures to perform to get SC to work properly via a secure web connection? (ie: changing the root folder path, the ports, etc.)
  5. I am installing a similar 2 machine config: FMSA on one server & web publishing on another Web server acting as our domain. Can you tell me which type of installation to perform on which server to best enable IWP for SuperContainer in the best secured environment (SSL): Option 2: Installing SuperContainer with FileMaker Server Advanced, or... Option 3: Installing SuperContainer with Tomcat Then, to best leverage security (so that not just anyone can log into the web server and download any doc), which post installation options are best to follow (ie: changing the SC root folder path, setting up user & password security, etc)...? thanks
