I just opened one of the pre-existing DB's that comes with filemaker pro "purchase order". there 8 layouts and I noticed that when I ever I do changes to layout 1 will not show up when I try to access the DB on the web browser until I do the change in layout 8 with is the web browser layout. My question is why have so may layouts ? do I need to change both layouts ? or do I only change layout 8 which is the web browser layout ? if so, then why have the extra layout ?. thans in advance for your help.

I am couple questions. 1. I am developing a DB that I would like to deploy on the network, other than istalling FileM pro on a shared server and web sharing the application on the server what would I need ? 2. After deploying the DB, what is the easiest way to re-deploy changes to DB without intrupting the users ? what about about the existing data in the DB ? for example in Ms. Access you can split the DB into client and server portion and have the data in the server portion and you can change the client as you wish without affecting the data as long as you do not change the data structure, even then it will allow but it will warn you about the data integrity. 3. Now I am in the testing phase and I have lots of test records in the DB how can I mass clean these Rec. without having to delete each record indiviually. sorry for the long post, and thank-you in advance

I created a DB Now I want the key field to be an Auto number, so I go to the field options and set it to "serial NUmber" START 1 and incurment as by 1. This works fine we I use it in the browse mode, however when I go to I.E. to access the database this does not work. I tried this on two different computers the same issue. ALso I haveing the same problem with a script "I made a button that put the data auto in a given field", again this works fine in the Browse mode but when I go to I.E. or even Firefox the script does not work. Your help will be greatly appriciated.
