Greetings, I am new to setting up FM databases and server etc.. I'm Setting up a FM 7 server on a W2k3 server . I have set up a bunch of test databases to test the permissions etc... I set up the external authentification via AD, which wasn't working till I did the update, but now it is... at least sort of. I have followed the directions from the help and online files for setting up permissions on the databases. It seems to work as far as seeing the DB's that the users are supposed to see and have access to, but.... no matter what priviledge set I use..including new ones created, users all have full access to the databases.And ones that they don't see, if you type in the filename to open it, it will open and get access to the ones I have set the external authentification on, even if they are not supposed to have access to it. I have gone over them many times..keep reading the help files etc... but it all seems to be set up correctly...according to what information I have. Anyone have a clue what might be wrong.
