  1. Works perfectly, thanks for the help!! Is there an equivalent function to GetField to save new field contents?
  2. Hi everyone, I am trying to write a Filemaker 9 script that accesses a group of text fields that are named with sequential numbers. Example: Item1 Item2 Item3 Is there a way to read data from these fields sequentially by calculating the field names? I was hoping to do something like: TableName::Item$LoopNumber The above doesn't work, however. Is there any way to do this in filemaker? Thanks!
  3. I have run into this exact bug and am stuck. I am trying to print forms to seperate printers, and of course filemaker only honors the most recently selected printer in both scripts. I am attempting the postscript -> lp -d workaround, but I am having trouble setting the paper tray from the command line. Using 'lp -d PrinterName -o media=Tray1' (or upper) doesn't work, and the printer still automatically uses the default feed. Any suggestions? Has anyone come any closer to solving this filemaker problem, or at least gotten filemaker to honor the default system printer choice? Thanks!
  4. Aha, I figured it out. I didn't realize that one could check the kiosk mode without checking the runtime solution in the developer utilities. Next question: My database relies on text fields, pulldown menus and check boxes for data imput. However, when shared, all the clients attempt to edit the same temporary fields (thus overwriting each other if two people are typing at once). Is there a way to have this record spawn seperately for each client? Sorry for the newbie questions!
  5. Hi All, This is my first post on the forum. I created a run-time FM Pro 7 database for a small business last year. For them it is important to run in kiosk mode (to restrict some user access and also keep things simple). Their needs have recently changed and now I need to create a networked database, but I would like to keep the kiosk mode. I understand that the runtime solutions are not networkable. Is there any way to share a FM 7 Pro database (they have less than 5 clients) to seperate FM Pro 7 clients running in kiosk mode? Thanks for your help! Steven
