  1. Tks AAA. I agree with that. In the lookup file, Item (I should have called it "group"), can have multiple products. ie, "a" would have a number of products (records) as would "x". Now in F2, make "item" a repeating field and format it for a dropdown list from "Item" in lookup. Make "Product" a dropdown list from "product" in lookup (related to "Item" in F2). I find that for the first line, all is ok but the second, even though I select a different item, the product dropdown still gives me a list based on the first line. Any clues, Tks, bruce
  2. I have created a quotation dbase (F1) in which I have three fields, Item, Product & Price, with repeats. I have another file (F2) with the same fields which are related by "Item". The F1 has a dropdown list for Item, from F2 "Items". Product is "looked up" from F2, conditional on "Item" in F1. This works for the first line of the repeating fields but subsequent lines are controlled by "item" in line one. Is there a way to force a lookup based on Item in each line? Thanks, Bruce
  3. Hi, i'm a new member. been using FM for many years but having difficulty with this one. I have a fp5 file in which I create new records for multiples of the same product with a unique serial no. for each. There are numerous products but records for only one product would be created at the one time. Product description and details are looked up from another file. This works ok. I want to enter the qty of product and "auto-create" relevant records. Then, once labels are printed, to lock those records and check the "printed" box. Would like the option to print to PDF if possible (this seems a bit shaky in FM). I would greatly appreciate any assistance in explaining how to acheive this. 4. I want to create say 200 duplicate records at once, with consecutive serial numbers. I'm ok with the serial no. side of it but not the script to limit the creation of records to a set number. Appreciate any assistance.
