  1. Hi Oliver thanks for your post, and was glad to know you were able to get the donation file maker program works. Please i have a question which i think your experience will be of tremendous help or anyone else out there. I have posted this before, but guess had little response, i mistakenly posted twice. I have a Donation files, one call contact, and the second call donations, please how can i calculate the total donations made by each individual for each year, this is year end, starting from 2005. I am a beginner and have read the way you made yours to work, a little details will help. sorry fro this trouble, i have to help a non-profit organization (http://www.hivnotme.org) to send a receipts and thank you letter to donors for year 2005, and could not figure out this part. thanks so much mike
  2. we got donations 2.0 4 weeks ago, so far we like it, but where i am trying to figure out is how to generate a sum total of each individual's donations at the end of the year or Year to date. any luck adding this calculations? to be used in sending either a receipt or End of Year report to the sponsors? thanks Mike
  3. Thanks guys for the tips and suggestions. I just purchased the Donations 2.0 application for use in keeping track for a non profit organisation. i have added few modifications to make it easier, but got stuck at the adding a calculation to add all the donations made by each sponsor for the whole year. There is already a function for generating several reports, per month, etc but non to send a receipt or summary at the end of the year or YTD (YearToDate) where all the donations made by each individual will be summed up and printed as one letter or report and sent to the sponsor. I have seen alot of useful write -up on this, but any there anyone who have had the opprotunity to use Donations 2.0 and can help me out thanks guys Mike

Thank you so much for your help, i am doing that now, and i am able to get the totals on each sponsor, but i want to use the grand totals of each of the sponsors on a thank you letter, specifying their total donations YTD (Year To Date) on another thank you letter report thanks so much for your help mike

I helping a non-profit organisation create a small database to keep track of donations made by the sponsors, I created two files named donations.fp5 and donators.fp5, where i link both using the relations membership id to donators ID, but i am getting into difficult when i want to create a report to generate all the donations made by each and all members in the year. I am still pretty newbie in filemaker pro 6 but really want to help and complete this small project as the organisation cannot afford an out of the box software to do all these, it is also a learning opportunity for me as i am helping them out, so please anyone who can help, could help with me send tips on how i can get this this report to give a reasonable result. Rigght now, when i run the report, instead of the totals for each member, it gives the totals for all the members added together. thank you :test:
