  1. We have a database of donors. We need to send them letters of various sorts and want to use an electronic signature so we don't have to sign every letter. We have various letters, each in its own layout. Each layout has merge fields, text (the body of the letter), and a place for the signature. I have succeeded in inserting the signature onto the layout but because each letter in a given found set has a different number of lines of merged data, etc, the signature is sometimes in the correct place, sometimes too high, sometimes too low. Is there a way to make the signature stay in place depending on where the text immediately above and below it appear on the page? I have tried the sliding/printing function to no avail. Thanks for any help, Kalia
  2. Lee and John, Thanks to your clues, I think I figured out why it wasn't working properly. It is related to the fact that there are two fields for each item on the value list (a number field and a text field.) The field on the main layout refers to both of these two fields and that was messing things up but it's working now. Thanks for your help, Kalia
  3. Lee, The problem is that this error message appears before ANY check box has been checked. (FYI, we are not using "custom" value lists but rather the values are taken from a referenced field.) Thanks, Kalia
  4. There are a number of fields in our database that are check box style value lists. When clicking the mouse on any one of these check boxes, we get this message: " 'Name of field' is defined to contain only specific values. You must enter a valid value." After you hit okay, it puts an "X" in the check box (as it should). Can someone tell me how to get rid of this unnecessary message? Thank you!
