  2. I'm a newbie, hopefully posting in the right place... Im a longtime user of FM4, recently upgraded to FM8 and failing completely to make a relationship work. For background, I have a table that is built in the tradition of FM4 with many fields and several layouts. I have tried to create a new table "TALENT" that I want to populate with all the data listed in the original "DATABASE". I went to the graphing tool and made all the fields that are the same "=" and expected "TALENT" to be magically populated like it was another layout. Clearly it wasn't. Then, I made just the field I wanted to be the match field, "Job media" "=" "job Media", tried typing an existing number, and nothing again. So how the heck do you make a relationship work. Where do you define a match, and where do you define the fields that you want to be carried from one table to the next?? I know this is super basic, and am very grateful for anyone who takes the time to respond. Susannah
