I set up a field to always validate the field's data from a specific value list. Now when I try to reopen the file, the file is stuck on that field, does not recognize any value that is entered, does not allow me to access "define database" to reset the validation of the field, save a copy of the file, or even close the file. The error message is "'FIELD' defined to require a value. Unable to access define database." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two questions re OBDC link to Filemaker Pro: 1. We are using SQL calls to write info into a database, and then importing the info into Filemaker Pro. Is there any way to write direct into Filemaker Pro via OBDC? If so, how? 2. Is it possible to do the above importing a graphic file into a container? Thanks, patriciag

We are running FMP 8.5 on Filemaker Server 8.0v4. I have set up a script that logs user statistics (date, time, user computer name). I would like to log the ip address of the user's computer. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks, patriciag
