Please can someone straighten me out on this one....... From what I was aware you were not able to use calcs as match fields in relationships....This is what I have been told. Although I have by default done this and it worked. Please can someone explain to me why I was told this and the reasoning behind it!!! Life would be easier if this was possible! I hope whoever taught me this was wrong!

AHA! Solved!!! If you have this issue besides compacting the files try reapplying the permissions to the backups folder!! NOW IT WORKS! Event though the permissions were ok in the first place.....

I have a number of clients using databases, hosted out from a dedicated server machine. All our servers have fmserver backups on, creating hourly backups on the hour every hour. For some reason on a number of our sites backups have begun to fail (not all at the same time!). I know this can be due to corrupt files so this afternoon 1 particular client was unhosted, all the files were saved as compacted and rehosted (there should be no corruption anyway as I always follow best practice). I had previously done this to another client suffering the same issues and it sorted the problem but has not done here..... What other issues can cause Fmserver backups to fail?: Is it worth re-installing the fmserver app??? What can I do?!?!?!? HELP!!!

Hi has anyone got any good examples of generic startup scripts. I'm a bit of a novice and I have been asked to write a startup script for our new version of software. All I can think off is setting window size and entering browse mode etc....Can anyone help???
