I've been playing around with the Invoice starter solution in FM 11 advanced. Wondering the correct approach to add inventory and keep a log. Maybe a layout similar to "Record Detail-Invoices" where once clicked "Update Inventory" adds the amount to "Products::Amount In Stock".

I have two small companies that use the same solution that I developed in filemaker. I need to use two seperate files because there are billing parts of the program that has billing address ect. Therefor I can't just use record level.

I'm trying to use the same database file copied to two separate folders and host them on the same server. Users are authenticated via external authentication. I want when user “A” types his password he gets the database in folder “A” and when user “B” types his password he gets the database in folder “B”. However when I try to upload the database into a separate folder I get an error telling me that the file already exist even though I was trying to add it into a different folder.
Well basically I have a price list with codes. I have an excel file with these codes but it has 1,2,3,4,5... before the code in other words code "x" would be "1 x" on the excel sheet. I need a function to replace the "1" before the x when importing.

I'm pretty new with filmmaker and need some assistance getting the following done. I have two files one which contains inventory the other contains work orders. I want to create a script which I'm prompted the qty of a part# being given to a person. So let’s say I give a person 10 of part# x. I want to automatically deduct from inventory whenever that person uses one of the 10 part# x I just assigned to him. I hope my question is clear and someone is nice enough to help.

I'll admit I'm not the best person when trying to explain something. But here it goes, I have a table filled with serial numbers and no one assigned to them. I want to have two fields, one where I input the name of the person being assigned the serial numbers and the other where I will input all serial numbers being assigned. I want to be able to put more than one serial number at a time. Then I want a button that will update any serial numbers in the field with the name of the person that being assigned to.
