In my case, it's pretty clear that this error is being caused by running out of space for the temporary files. If you have your disk split into a boot/programs partition and a data partition, this could be something to look for (although I assume that by now you've found other ways around your problem).
For the present -- can anyone provide information on how to change the directory for temporary database files? I'd assume that this is covered in support documents at filemaker.com, but that site appears to be non-responsive today.
