  1. Thank you Vaughan, I knew there would be a better way to do it. I will see if I can figure out how to implement that (much better) way. I would like to have a list in each member's profile of all there attendance listed from when it is entered into attendance, I am not sure how yet, but your way will help me get there (I think). Sorry it took so long to respond, we are still in crunch time on the grants.
  2. Hello again smart people of the FMForum, Here is my problem: I have an attendance table with 25 first name and 25 last name fields on it. I Would like FMP10 to automatically look up each person when they are typed in and then find them in the Member Profile table and list their status (If it helps it is a single yes or no status). The problem is that I can not figure out how to do this for each name individually. I got so frustrated I am rebuilding the attendance table from scratch, so any help is appreciated. For a basic idea it looks/will look something like this: Date ____ Group ____ First Name ____ Last Name____ Crime Victim____ First Name ____ Last Name____ Crime Victim____ First Name ____ Last Name____ Crime Victim____ First Name ____ Last Name____ Crime Victim____ First Name ____ Last Name____ Crime Victim____ and so on, each person being different (but all should be in my member profile table) Currently I can get it to lookup based on the name, but it then uses the name for all the crime victim slots and not just the one next to it. Unfortunately I am the accidental techie at a non profit that needs this done soon for a grant. Thank you in advance, unknown person who helps me :(
  3. Hello Community at large, I have a problem that has frustrated me for days now. Chief Complaint: I can not figure out how to sort by day of the month only (within dates covering only one month) Details: We have a Demographics type data base and I need to be able to make lists of everyone with dates in the upcoming month (there are actually four date fields I have to search through). I currently run a search like 2/{1..31}/* to find all dates that fall within the month, and then view them all in a layout I created for this purpose. But the results need to then be organized by the day of the month. The problem I have run into so far is that FMP seems to follow the logical globally accepted rule that the year is actually important to chronology. I know it can be done, but how?
