Tabing from record to record within the same field

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have a series of records that need a field updated once a week.

This isn't exactly what you asked for, but...

How about a script that goes to the field in the first record, then pauses, then in a loop, goes to the next record and pauses, etc.

You can enter the data you want, then hit the "Enter" key to go to the next record.

It's a thought.

Another option:

Create a layout specific to this task. Place a portal that shows all records through a self-join relationship. Only allow entry or tab into the field to be edited. Users will be able to tab from one record to the next without leaving the field.

Peters idea seems the most efficent.

least developement effort would be to use the crtl+down/up arrow shortcut to go between records (keeps the same field active).
