Recently added new fields to the database in Filemaker 13 that is being synched to our Ipads.  Ran setup in mirrorSync and copy and pasted the script into filemaker.  Have done this in the past without issues, now we are not getting any errors and the new fields do not synch.

After you re-pasted the script steps, did you distribute new offline copies to your users? If not, then that's the problem - existing offline files don't know about the new fields.

Yes, we distributed the new link to the database download to the end users for installation on Ipads (FileMaker GO 15),

Modify a record on the server, run a sync to an iPad, and verify that the field does not sync (if there are multiple fields, just pick one).

Then use the 'Report a problem' link on the MirrorSync launch page to send us the server log file. Be sure to let us know the name of the field that is not syncing, as well as the name of the table/layout and the primary key of the record that you modified.
