in this video I want to talk about a common request that I get from a number of different people about their FileMaker solution and it's easy enough to demo this in FM starting point which
is what I'm doing some here in a copy of FM starting point and I'm going to click on contacts or invoices i should say
this comes up mostly with invoices and maybe jobs and projects up here and what they want is that as we create new
invoices this is kind of default way it works on impressing command inner control in and I'm just creating new
invoices just so you can see how this number sequence and the request is that they want the year to be included in the
invoice number in fact they really don't need the invoice they want the year to be there instead the current year and so this is pretty simple to set up i want to point out that once again I'm
explaining this to everyone with the expectation to some degree that you have my FileMaker pro video training course
