+ signs in calculated value list

For a school reporting system I have a calculation (depending on the report type) that brings one of two value lists into a pull down menu. The value list that contains the values: A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D+, D, E+, E works fine when not in a calculated value list, but when its in the calculated menu, it loses all of the + signs and gives only A, B, C, D, E. How to fix?:?

Try changing the indexing for the related field to ASCII in the field definition, options on the related field where the A A+ B b+ list resides.... works a treat!

Or, you could not give the students marks. Then you won't contribute to the elitist nature of schooling.

Of course, thats my opinion, I could be wrong ..... :P
