Creating An Event Log

Featured Replies

I have a database with about 10 files, several users, and several automated tasks. I'd like to create an "event log" wich keeps track of items such as "user ID, script name, file name, and results such as: email successfully sent, email successfully received, script executed normally, script error occured, etc." Since i want a centralized file, i figured i'd use a portal. But since i want to do this wish as little adjustment to the other files as possible, what would be the quickest and easist way. I'm not against using an "error code" system that later translates into an error message. smirk.gif

Hello

I use a log.fp5 file in which each action creates (using a script) a new record specifying who has done what ...

Obviously it requires that every action is scripted

(Take a look at it getting "The Gateway" at http://www.fmfiles.com)
