Or ... is there a way to write a script that imports a textfile ... but not tab-delimited but with like this: "street1";"zipcode1";"place1";"description1" "street2";"zipcode2";"place2";"description2" "street3";"zipcode3";"place3";"description3" The reason: sometimes the description field contais carriage returns or tabs, which leads to errors during importing Patrick
Kundinger Posted June 28, 2002 Posted June 28, 2002 Hello, I have worked with XML files for about three years... ever since Apple implemented it for their import/export "users & groups" on AppleShare IP & OSX servers. I have tried to create a FileMaker system where I import the data into one field and do different functions to separate the data into certain fields. I have made it work, but it is inconsistent and wrought with data integrity problems. I have found that my data is much more accurate when I first open the XML file in a word processor and
