Or ... is there a way to write a script that imports a textfile ... but not tab-delimited but with like this:

"street1";"zipcode1";"place1";"description1"

"street2";"zipcode2";"place2";"description2"

"street3";"zipcode3";"place3";"description3"

The reason:

sometimes the description field contais carriage returns or tabs, which leads to errors during importing

I have worked with XML files for about three years... ever since Apple implemented it for their import/export "users & groups" on AppleShare IP & OSX servers.
