Hi,

I have been running FM Starting Point for many years now and it has always performed very well.  Just lately though, it has begun crashing quite frequently at intermittent times.  Sometimes while I am using it, other times when it is simply open but in the background.

Here is my system:

FileMaker Pro 13.0v5 for Mac

FM Starting Point 2,1v8

MacOS v10.13.2

My Starting Point solution was customized by RCC and I have further tweaked it slightly as I learn my way around FileMaker.

I have now learned that FM pro 13 is not compatible with MoacOS 10.  Therefore I will have to buy the latest FM program v16.  I am of the understanding that if I upgrade the FM Starting Point solution, I will lose all of the customization done to it to fit my business.  So that is a non-starter.

My question is:  will FM 16 read my old FMSP 2.1v8 file?

Hey donl1150,

Yes, your file will still work just fine with FM 16. No need to worry about upgrading.
