kiwiora Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 I've recently created a db using FM which integrates into a Word97 doc. The system I am using is quite archaic and chunky.. however my problem is as follows: When merging Word97 and a record from Filemaker pro it strips all bookmarks from the resulting document. I.e if i have a contents page, cross referencing, or macros - all items which rely on Bookmarks in my document, once merged they are all stripped out. Firstly is it a word97 or FM issue, and secondly are there any possible remedies? Please help before I have no hair left!
Vaughan Posted July 8, 2002 Posted July 8, 2002 Let me get this straight... you have a Word doc and am importing into FMP? using the Import command?
kiwiora Posted July 9, 2002 Author Posted July 9, 2002 No... I export a record from Filemaker Pro (data) and merge that with a template in word97 (essentially a form file). During this process all bookmark references are removed in my word97 doc (i.e cross referencing, TOC, hyperlinks etc). Everything merges fine from FM... just the bookmarks are the issue. It is a leasing package so majority of the documents are prescribed legal forms. I've tested it some more and think I may have come to the conclusion that it's yet again Microsoft Word which is the problem...
