keshalyi Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 OK ... so all you supergeniuses out there, see if you can help me with this. I have a calculated field showing in a checkbox format in a cell. Shows up beautifully. But, I wanted a button to sit over each checkbox, for when the user tries to check the boxes (as a calculation, it won't let them, of course). So I have a database, the relationship lists out in exact parallel to the list of checkboxes. I set up a portal, and layered it, just inside the cell for the calc field, and I adjusted the row, at 400% so that it is perfectly aligned with the rows of c heckboxes. Perfect right? Well, it should be. I zoom out to 100%, and the rows are off. IT isn't that they were just off up close and I couldn't see it, they're dramatcially different aligned. Thoughts? Feelings?
danjacoby Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 The answer is never to set things up using a zoom level different from the zoom level at which you'll be using the file. In FMP, zooming isn't perfect. It's been a problem for a long time, and it's long past due for Filemaker to fix this bug. Perhaps they've (finally!) fixed it in version 6.0, but I doubt it. Meanwhile, make your fine adjustments at 100%.
