virtical centering - text

If I create a lable layout the merge fields from the wizard will be middle (between top and bottom of text box) how can I format this without having to go through the wizard?

Go to Layout mode, select the label field or text block, and view 'Align Text' under the 'Format' menu. In it you will see options to align the selected field/text both horizontally and vertically.
