Using an OR in a find

Is there a way to use an OR in a find? I'd like to search for "value X" or "Value Y" in a find, and not have to do 2 separate searches.

In the same field? If so, (manually)

Command-F

Enter Value X

Command-N

Enter Value Y

Return

It's one search, in two steps. You can script it too.

By OR do you mean one OR the other, but not both, or do you mean either one (which would probably mean AND). If the first criteria is found, do you want the search to stop?
