Problem with fonts and regional settings

FileMaker Pro 5, Windows Platform.

I live in Russia. Initially the database was made and the data were entered on a computer with regional settings "English (United States)". When clients have started to be connected to this database from computers with regional settings "Russia" all data in a database, filled in Russian have a not readable kind. If on clients computers to establish regional settings in "English (United States)" all will be good but so I can not make because many programs in Russian cease to work. I know, that something can be changed in registry in CurrentControlSet that at "Russia" settings all data data in databases in Russian language saw normally, but I can not find, where also what exactly needs to be changed. (the parameter from FileMaker registry - FontSubstitutes does not play a role, it is checked up). Heeeeeelp, pleeeaase.

The same is in Czech Republic.

You must convert the characters -- I am doing that via scripts. Both ways.

The same problem is with FM on the web and the solution is just the same.

And also this problem is with ODBC and FileMaker also with the same solution.

FYI -- the same is with Windows and Macintosh OS.
