FMPv6 doesn't work on older Mac OS

So I installed version 6 on my Mac running OS8.6, and it won't open. Apparently, it can't find a file named "MPLibrary".

I called the folks at Filemaker, and they said that they were aware of the problem, but had no solution. Downloading the 6.0v2 fix didn't help.

I don't know about Mac OSX or the various Windows versions, but for Macs running an OS lower than "X", DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT; YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

Just a note on this: I encountered this same issue on a client install today. Filemaker Tech Support recommended a re-install of OS 8.6. This resolved the MPLIBRARY issue.

I sympathise, but don't let the frustration get the better of you... wink.gif

I've installed FMPv6 it on several client machines running OS 8.6 and it installed and ran like a dream. Have also seen it perform well in various incarnations of OS 9.x. It can be done! smirk.gif
