Brennyineire Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Hi All, Just wondering is there an upgrade path from 5 to 6.1 or do I have to a full "fresh install" of 6.1 and reconfigure as if it was the first time.
[email protected] Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Hello, MirrorSync 6 is backwards compatible with MS 5 configurations. To update, you need to run the installer and download the new configuration client. Once you log in, the configuration client will pick up existing MS 5 configurations, no importing of configurations necessary. At this point, in order for existing offline files to be able to sync, you need to edit the configurations. As you step through the configuration client, it will give you the necessary steps. This includes updating your MirrorSync scripts in your solution. Once you have stepped through the configuration client completely, you will need to distribute new offline files to your users. Most users are able to update and step through fairly quickly. If you have any questions during the process or come cross any issues, you can submit a report to our support team to get help. You can submit the report by going to your MirrorSync launch page in your browser (where you download your configuration client). At the bottom of the page will be a link to submit a report.
