Default Selection in Pop-Up List

I'd like to have the first value in a pop-up list automatically selected when the list is selected by tabbing or have the first selection in the list display automatically when a new record is created.

You should be able to set a default value for the field, by using a lookup or simply by setting it in the data option when defining a field.
