January 7, 20224 yr On some of my Mac M1 machines, I ran into a ‘Bad CPU Type in executable’ error with all 360works plugins. After back and forth, 360works advised how to fix it, and it worked for me: Bad CPU Type error typically indicates that Rosetta is not installed. While our plugin code is compatible with M1 processors some of the libraries that the plugins depend on are not so they do require the Rosetta Translation environment. We do have plans to update to later versions of these libraries but I do not have a less ambiguous ETA than "soon". We will announce new versions on our social media and/or newsletter so be sure to subscribe to those to get the latest information on our products. For other users that have had this error, the resolution was to run this command in Terminal: softwareupdate –install-rosetta That simple Rosetta installation fixed it for me! Hope this helps someone else.
