360 Works Plastic 3 becomes "disabled" on it's own

I was troubleshooting an CC processing issue for one of my clients and noticed that somehow the Plastic Plug-In had become disabled.

I was able to re-enable it in the preferences, but more importantly, how did this happen?

Hoping someone from 360 Works can clue me in.
