Newbies 1down5up Posted January 13, 2022 Newbies Posted January 13, 2022 (edited) Tried installing Scribe 4.0726 within FileMaker 19.4.2 on my Mac Mini (M1, 2020) running OS 12.1. Unpacking process finished then froze during the initialization. Is this plug-in not compatible with the new Apple M1 chip? Thanks Edited January 13, 2022 by 1down5up forgot to insert image
ryan360Works Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Hi, I believe you also sent in a support ticket but I wanted to post this here in case others run into this error and look here for answers: The Bad CPU Type error typically indicates that Rosetta is not installed. While our plugin code is compatible with M1 processors some of the libraries that the plugins depend on are not so they do require the Rosetta Translation environment. We do have plans to update to later versions of these libraries but I do not have a definitive ETA. For other users that have had this error, the resolution was to run this command in Terminal: softwareupdate --install-rosetta
Newbies 1down5up Posted January 13, 2022 Author Newbies Posted January 13, 2022 Ryan, that worked. And yes it was me that sent the support ticket. Please feel free to cancel that ticket. Many thanks for the help and quick reply. Best Wishes.
